This program is for players that are interested in participating and competing in tournament chess, or just want their chess ability to improve to the next tactical level. Players will meet Saturday mornings at Wilshire Park Elementary for chess instruction and fun competitive play. Expert coaching will be provided for participants at many tournaments.

Have a big idea? Let’s make it real—one afternoon at a time! In this beginner-friendly after-school class, kids team up to imagine simple businesses (think pet toys or tasty treats), sketch their ideas, choose a business name, and design a kid-friendly logo. We’ll practice setting prices with play money, try a pretend customer survey, and build confidence sharing short, friendly “pitches.” The session wraps with a cheerful “mini market,” where students show off their creations and celebrate their hard work.
