Welcome to the 2026 Bear Down Basketball Camp! Each sessions will focus on ball handling, shooting, finishing at the basket and reading defenses. Participants will also be engaged in 1-on-1, 2-on-2, and 3-on-3 competitive activities. Players should have experience playing either in the rec leagues or traveling programs. Each camper will receive a t-shirt! Bears Basketball Season Prep Camp (Girls Only) For Traveling & Recreational Players | Grades 3–8 (2026–2027 school year) Get ready for the upcoming basketball season with the Bears Season Prep Camp! This camp is designed to help players build confidence, sharpen fundamental skills, and grow their overall understanding of the game in a fun, supportive, and challenging environment. Open to both traveling players preparing for tryouts and recreational players looking to develop their game, each session will focus on: Fundamental skill development (shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork, defense) Basketball IQ through advantage/disadvantage game play Competitive drills and daily scrimmages Preparing athletes physically and mentally for the upcoming season Who: Girls entering grades 3–5 and 6–8 (2026–2027 school year) When: Mondays & Thursdays, August 24 – September 14 (no session Monday, September 7) Where: Mariner Middle School Cost: $50 for 3 Monday sessions, $50 for 3 Thursday sessions, or $95 for all 6 sessions All 3rd-5th Grade sessions: 5:30pm-7:00pm All 6th-8th Grade sessions: 7:00pm-8:30pm Whether your athlete is aiming to make a traveling team, planning to play recreationally, this camp is a great way to build skills, learn the game, and head into the season prepared and confident.
