During June & July, the classes are coached by the Head Coach & Assistant Coaches of the WBL Gymnastics team. The focus will be working towards new skills and connections that align with the NFHSS & MSHSL rules for high school level routines. Pre-Team will emphasize strong fundamentals, precise technique, and consistent execution as gymnasts prepare for future competitive levels. Athletes will work toward progressively more advanced skills while continuing to build strength, confidence, and mental toughness in a positive and supportive atmosphere. Through a variety of obstacle courses, balance activities, and gymnastics stations, children will work on important developmental skills like listening, following directions, taking turns, and building confidence. A perfect blend of physical activity and social growth - no experience needed! Parents are allowed to watch but will not be allowed onto the equipment or within the class unless prior permission is granted. The coach will group gymnasts based on which level chosen at registration and skill ability. This class will focus on beginner and intermediate level skills. Great for beginner & intermediate level gymnasts or gymnasts that have done beginner before and need work to perfect another skill or two before moving up to intermediate for the fall. Intermediate / Advanced: This class is for any gymnast in the beginner OR intermediate level. The coach will group gymnasts based on which level chosen at registration and skill ability. This class will focus on building higher level skills learned from the beginner class along with the intermediate class (if in the Advanced class). If you have not been given a move-up slip from a coach, please contact Coach Sarah (sarah.crist@isd624.org) if this class is the right level for your gymnast. Mixed Level: This class is for any gymnast in the beginner, intermediate, OR advanced level. The coach will group gymnasts based on which level chosen at registration and skill ability.
