Learn to KayakFitnessThe Learn to Kayak program introduces participants to kayaking in a supportive, beginner-friendly group environment. The course emphasizes safety, basic technique, and confidence building. Instruction begins on land, where participants learn essential skills and safety fundamentals, and then transitions to on-water practice at a calm, kayak-friendly body of water. Program Goals• Introduce beginners to kayaking safely• Teach foundational paddling techniques and water safety• Build confidence and comfort on the water• Encourage outdoor recreation, wellness, and community connection Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet and bring drinking water. Strawberry Moon Kayak AdventureFitnessJoin us for a guided Full Moon Adventure kayaking experience on Lake Demontreville in Lake Elmo, a designated kayak-friendly lake. This two-hour experience begins with a relaxed paddle at sunset and continues into the evening as participants enjoy the peaceful transition to moonlight on the water. The experience is designed to be both recreational and restorative, offering participants an opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy local waterways, and engage in a unique community-based outdoor activity. No Experience needed. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet, drinking water, flashlight and bug spray. Students Age 14-17 Must be with registered adult All necessary equipment is provided, including kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and a waterproof case for phones and keys.
