A+ Driving School: Online and In person: Age 14-18
Please register on the A+ Driving School website on their website which can be found by clicking here. Once you go to the A+ Driving website you will then select in-person classes or distance learning. Class Description is below. . . . . . . . . . . This 30-hour program will be conducted by a certified instructor from A+ Driving School and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The course will address the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. The format of the class will be lecture and active discussion. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six hour state requirement. Students may start classroom driving lessons at age 14, take the Knowledge Test and obtain their Instruction Permit at age 15, and take the Road Test and obtain their Provisional License at age 16. To be eligible to take the Road Test, students must have had their Instruction Permit for a minimum of six months. The Driver's Education Program is divided into two phases: Classroom Phase - teleconference/in-personThis phase includes the required 30 hours of classroom instruction that prepares the student to take the Minnesota permit test and to take on the responsibility of driving. If a lesson is missed, a make-up lesson can be arranged with the office at either the next White Bear session or at another of A+'s locations. Behind-the-Wheel PhaseAfter students pass the permit test, they are required to complete six hours of driving lessons. The lessons are provided in three, two-hour lessons. The lessons are one-on-one instruction with instructors licensed through the MN Dept. of Public Safety. Students can be picked up from and dropped off at home, school or work. Detailed information about scheduling the behind-the-wheel lessons will be provided. Parent InvolvementA+ Driving School is proud to offer a parent informational meetings in White Bear Lake. **Attending this class will meet the requirement to REDUCE the number of hours that students need to drive with a parent from 50, to 40 hours.** -

Advantage EP: Self-Paced Online ACT Prep Course: Gr 10-12
Although live instruction is always optimal for ACT instruction, Advantage offers a self-paced option for students who are unable to attend an in-person or virtual course. Instructional videos and slides are pre-recorded and provided online. Upon request, students who are registered for the In-School ACT Prep Course or the Virtual ACT Prep Course can also access this online course at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. You have one year to finish this course. -
Advantage EP: Virtual Online ACT Prep Course: Gr 10-12
The virtual classroom is structured the same as the in-school course. The only difference is the virtual option takes place with an Advantage instructor in an interactive online classroom. Internet connection and access to a computer or laptop is required. Class recordings are available for students who need to make up any missed classes. -
Bear Care: The Flavor Lab Virtual Family Cooking Class Gr K-5
A fun and interactive cooking class designed for families to join from their own kitchens! Registering one adult includes the whole family, so everyone at home is welcome to join in! Learn basic robotics skills such as; programming, construction, testing, and design while you create robots that solve specific challenge problems generated during the program. You will be using scratch coding and Lego Spike Prime as your tools while problem solving with robotics. -

This program offers a crash course in coding your own games with Scratch. Students will create and develop 2-3 basic games while learning many foundational computer science skills with boundless potential for creativity and expansion. -
CSGA: Stock Market, Personal Finance, & Business Club: Gr 6-12
Take control of your present and future. Learn how the stock market works by analyzing real time data and trades using a stock market simulator. Create four investment portfolios to compare risk vs return on investment. Understand how an IPO could become the next blue chip company of tomorrow. Track and trade your stocks, mutual funds, and cryptocurrencies to build wealth, not just savings. Use a personal finance simulator to see how improving your education & experience can raise your income, if you can budget your resources and pay your bills! Learn how difficult it is to finance post secondary education while still holding down your simulated job. Finally, if students have interest, they can attempt to build and grow a simulated business in the Wtr/Spr Session. This club is meant to be a full year program, but can be stand alone each session students participate. Participants will have the option to help manage a concessions stand if they are interested in a public facing experience. -

DASH Sports basketball camps provide players with a well-rounded basketball experience covering a broad range ofskills training & skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly shoot, pass, dribble, & play defense in a fun & positiveenvironment. Camps end with scrimmages/games on the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle. Balls are provided. -

Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, & defense will be taught & practiced, & players will be grouped &challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, & Pride’. Camp endswith a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats & mouth guards are optional). Footballs & flagbelts are provided. -
