A+ Driving School: Online and In person: Age 14-18
Please register on the A+ Driving School website on their website which can be found by clicking here. Once you go to the A+ Driving website you will then select in-person classes or distance learning. Class Description is below. . . . . . . . . . . This 30-hour program will be conducted by a certified instructor from A+ Driving School and will fulfill the state driver’s education requirement. The course will address the “how to” and “whys” of safe driving. The format of the class will be lecture and active discussion. After completion of the program, students will be able to set up and participate in behind the wheel sessions to meet the six hour state requirement. Students may start classroom driving lessons at age 14, take the Knowledge Test and obtain their Instruction Permit at age 15, and take the Road Test and obtain their Provisional License at age 16. To be eligible to take the Road Test, students must have had their Instruction Permit for a minimum of six months. The Driver's Education Program is divided into two phases: Classroom Phase - teleconference/in-personThis phase includes the required 30 hours of classroom instruction that prepares the student to take the Minnesota permit test and to take on the responsibility of driving. If a lesson is missed, a make-up lesson can be arranged with the office at either the next White Bear session or at another of A+'s locations. Behind-the-Wheel PhaseAfter students pass the permit test, they are required to complete six hours of driving lessons. The lessons are provided in three, two-hour lessons. The lessons are one-on-one instruction with instructors licensed through the MN Dept. of Public Safety. Students can be picked up from and dropped off at home, school or work. Detailed information about scheduling the behind-the-wheel lessons will be provided. Parent InvolvementA+ Driving School is proud to offer a parent informational meetings in White Bear Lake. **Attending this class will meet the requirement to REDUCE the number of hours that students need to drive with a parent from 50, to 40 hours.** -

Traditional classroom format with in-person instructors who present test-taking strategies, critical review and time management for all testing areas of the ACT. This 12-hour course meets one day each week for four weeks. After completion of this course, students may request access to the Self-Paced Online Course, free of charge. -

Instructional videos and slides are pre-recorded and provided online. You have one year to finish this course. -

Whether you consider yourself a beginner or intermediate player, join this club to meet and interact with other chess players in your school and play on a weekly basis. If they are new to the game, players will learn the basic rules and strategies of chess. Tournament play is encouraged outside of the club, but not required. -
CSGA: Open Chess Tournament: Gr K-12
This program is for players that are interested in participating and competing in tournament chess, or just want their chess ability to improve to the next tactical level. Players will meet Saturday mornings at Wilshire Park Elementary for chess instruction and fun competitive play. Expert coaching will be provided for participants at many tournaments. -

This program offers a crash course in coding your own games with Scratch. Students will create and develop 2-3 basic games while learning many foundational computer science skills with boundless potential for creativity and expansion. -
DASH: Afterschool Flag Football Camp Gr K-5
DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, & defense will be taught & practiced, & players will be grouped & challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, & Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats & mouthguards are optional). Footballs & flag belts are provided. -

DASH Sports floor hockey camps provide players with a well-rounded hockey experience covering a broad range of skills training & skill-based games.
