Create your own unique, usable artwork in this beginner-friendly printmaking class! Participants will draw, carve, and hand-print multiples of a black-and-white design, inspired by folklore and patterns from the collection of The Museum of Russian Art. Participants will learn how to safely use carving tools, properly ink and print designs using hand-printing techniques, and troubleshoot common printmaking challenges. All materials included. Chalk Pastels are extremely pigmented, blendable, and can be used to create paint-like effects without the use of water. In this class you will learn the many possibilities of this medium as you follow step-by-step instructions to create your own drawing.

This class is designed for people who know basic embroidery skills, and are ready to extend their learning to new stitches such as the blanket stitch, fly stitch, basket weave, and more! Each participant will receive the following materials to keep: A practice cotton fabric sampler to learn and experiment with various intermediate stitches Thread and needles Guided by experienced instructors, you’ll learn intermediate stitches step-by-step.
