Fall Lawn Care

Lawn care can be expensive and puzzling.  You will learn some simple tips and techniques that can help you get the best performance out of your yard while protecting area lakes and streams from pollutants and runoff.  We will cover a wide variety of topics and answer your questions about watering, fertilizing, weed identification and so much more to make your lawn the best it can be. We will also discuss prepping your lawn for the cold winter months ahead, so in the spring you have a yard that is the envy of the neighborhood.   Participants will receive an informational folder full of great publications.

Adam Hjelm has been teaching community education and gardening classes for nearly twenty years. He is passionate about native plants and helping people green up their spaces in a variety of ways. Adam is a watershed education coordinator, Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, and Lawns to Legumes coach. When he isn't working with residents on their properties; he can be found wandering the woods, gardening in his backyard, or chasing after fish on our local lakes.
