Mardi Gras! Classic Beignet & King CakeCookingCelebrate Mardi Gras with two beloved traditions: classic beignets and festive king cakes! Beignets, the iconic New Orleans breakfast pastry, are light, yeast-raised treats generously dusted with powdered sugar and best enjoyed with strong black coffee flavored with chicory. King Cakes are made from sweet cinnamon dough and come with a playful surprise—a tiny plastic baby hidden inside. Tradition holds that whoever finds the baby in their slice hosts the next celebration. Decorate your cake with Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, and gold sugar, or add flair with whole pecans and candied cherries. Join us for this fun, hands-on class! Please bring an apron and a to-go container. Class fee includes all cooking ingredients and instructor time.AE 2526 Winter Spring -
