Bear FUNdamentals is a year-before-kindergarten full day program focused on providing, nurturing and engaging opportunities for learning and play that prepare children for kindergarten. Located at Birch, Hugo, Lakeaires, and Otter Lake Elementary Schools from 9:00 am-2:45 pm, you can also register for Extended Day hours before or after school. Children work on listening skills, language and literacy, thinking and math skills, and social development through meaningful, interactive play. Content is based on Creative Curriculum, and the program is staffed at a 1:10 ratio, taught by passionate instructors who encourage curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving in a stimulating, structured, and fun environment. Choose from a variety of different contract options! Additionally, transportation may be available to your child depending on school choice and current routes. A minimum contract of 3 consistent days per week is required. Registration fees are charged at time of registration and are non-refundable. School Year 2020-2021 Registration Fee- $40/kid Full Day Contracts (6:30 am-6:00 pm) include AM & PM Extended Day care and Bear FUN programming from 9 am-2:45 pm and no additional registration is required. If you are only needing AM or PM Extended Day option in addition to Bear FUN you will want to register for a School Day Bear FUN Contract and also register for Extended Day, this is now an option to add under your BearFundamentals contract. Preschool Registration for the 25-26 school year will begin Thursday, February 13 at 8am Preschool Registration Guide 25-26 White Bear Lake Area Preschool offers school-year long classes for children ages 3 to 5. The program includes: Licensed teachers and trained assistants in every classroom Low child/teacher ratio Ongoing assessment using Teaching Strategies Gold to measure students growth in all areas of early childhood development On-site specialists to meet individual needs Creative Curriculum used in all classes Outdoor play area and gyms designed and equipped especially for young children 2025-26 PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION GUIDELINES Enrollment is not guaranteed and is based on space availability. Once you complete the online registration you will be put on a “pending approval status” in the order the registration is received. Your credit card will not be charged for the registration fee until your child is confirmed in the program. You will not be confirmed in the program until All Required Forms are received. Once you are approved, you will receive an email confirmation and your credit card will be charged the registration fee. Approval process may take up to 10 business days. Annual preschool registration requires a non-refundable fee of $75. Annual Tamarack registration fees for out of district families will be an additional $100. After registrations meets the maximum number, additional registrations go onto the waitlist and if space becomes available, you will be notified. If a class does not fill due to low enrollment it will be canceled and parents will be notified by email. Preschoolers may only be registered for ONE preschool class. Monthly tuition is processed via auto-pay on the first business day of each month.
