  • Flavor Forward Spring Bowl Meals

    Spring into fresh flavors with Kirsten in this live online cooking class. We’ll start by preparing a grain base and a protein and while those are cooking we’ll make a sauce and some fresh sides, then assemble everything to enjoy now OR pack separately for meal prep. Participants will receive an extensive handout along with the link to join prior to class. There will be ample time for questions during the session, and participants will receive a link to the recording afterwards so you can cook along at your convenience.

    Anytime is the perfect time for fondue - whether with family, friends, or at a party. Originating in 18th-century Switzerland as a way to make use of hardened cheese and bread, people dipped cubes of bread into melted cheese with wine. The name comes from the French word fonder, meaning “to melt.” In this class, we’ll explore fondues from around the world: traditional cheese, classic Swiss, beef bourguignon, crab, bleu cheese, and tempura. For dessert, we’ll dip fruits, cakes, and brownies into rich chocolate, smooth butterscotch, and other sweet fondues. To complete the experience, we’ll also prepare a variety of flavorful sauces and dips. NOTE: $15 in class supply fee due to instructor Bring containers to bring your creations safely home.

    Discover the flavors of Ireland with a blend of traditional dishes and a touch of history about St. Patrick’s Day. Start with a smoked fish pâté appetizer, then enjoy hearty mains such as Guinness-braised beef or tender beer braised pork. Celebrate the humble potato with classic colcannon (mashed potatoes with cabbage) and savor cabbage with bacon on the side. No Irish table is complete without freshly baked soda bread, and for a sweet finish, indulge in a rich and delightful jam cake.   • Mardi Gras! Classic Beignet & King Cake

    Celebrate Mardi Gras with two beloved traditions: classic beignets and festive king cakes! Beignets, the iconic New Orleans breakfast pastry, are light, yeast-raised treats generously dusted with powdered sugar and best enjoyed with strong black coffee flavored with chicory. King Cakes are made from sweet cinnamon dough and come with a playful surprise—a tiny plastic baby hidden inside. Tradition holds that whoever finds the baby in their slice hosts the next celebration. Decorate your cake with Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, and gold sugar, or add flair with whole pecans and candied cherries. Join us for this fun, hands-on class! Please bring an apron and a to-go container. Class fee includes all cooking ingredients and instructor time.
  • Pi Day Crusts!

    Celebrate National Pi Day with your own homemade pie crust! Learn the secret to amazing crust using the 3-2-1 method. Participants will learn several methods for pie making including blind baking for cream based pies, and double crust for fruit based pies. And don't worry! You won't go home with just crust! Choose between Cherry or Lemon Meringue to compliment your amazing crust! Pi Day is celebrated yearly on March 14 to celebrate the mathematical number π (pi). The day was established to celebrate the significance of pi and to promote mathematics education, encouraging schools to teach students about pi and its important role in various scientific fields, engineering, and even space exploration. Please bring to class: an apron an empty pie plate if you have one (disposable tin ones will be available) something to carry a hot pie home (ex: hot pads and a box). There is a $10 material fee due at class to the instructor.
