Early Childhood Screening is a free and simple check of how your child is growing, developing and learning. Screening at age 3 is preferred, but a child may be screened between ages 3 and the start of kindergarten as required by law. Our preschool program also requires an early childhood screening be completed before registration What to expect at your screening appointment: The appointment will last between 1 hour. It includes height and weight, a vision and hearing check and a developmental screen that looks at your child’s skills. Parents will fill out a social emotional questionnaire about their child and complete a summary interview sharing the results of the screening. Please bring along a copy of your child’s current immunizations and birth certificate. Due to the length of time and to minimize distractions, if possible, please leave other siblings at home. Start your engines and your imagination! In this hands-on camp, students explore how engineers design and test vehicles using 3D printing. Campers will create two types of cars—a self-powered car (using stored mechanical energy) and a DC motor–powered car—while learning the basics of 3D modeling, motion, energy, and aerodynamics. Using the engineering design process, they’ll test, refine, and improve their creations from concept sketch to final race, putting creativity and problem-solving in the driver’s seat!

Where STEM fun meets your favorite pocket monsters! Get ready to become a Funémon Trainer! Young adventurers will explore hands-on STEM activities inspired by popular games and trading cards. Campers will collect special cards, create circuits, engineer catapults, and more—all while having a blast! By the end of camp, every camper will be on their way to becoming a master Funémon Trainer!

Learn about how to put your garden to bed in this class, which provides information about what to do for your garden and landscape between September and February. This class is offered by the U of M Extension Master Gardener volunteers of Ramsey County, who are eager to share research-based gardening best practices with the people in their community.

Practice will start mid/late August with games to follow. Teams will play a total of 8 games. Games will be played at Mariner Middle School under the lights and on the turf. Girls Bear Cubs Hoops Camp is a fun and encouraging program for girls in PreK–2nd grade designed to introduce girls to the sport of basketball, while building confidence, teamwork, and friendships in a positive all-girls environment. Campers will learn through age-appropriate games, skill activities, movement, and encouragement. No basketball experience needed — just come ready to have fun and grow!Grades based on the 2026-2027 school year.

Bears Basketball Season Prep Camp (Girls Only) For Traveling & Recreational Players | Grades 3–8 (2026–2027 school year) Get ready for the upcoming basketball season with the Bears Season Prep Camp! This camp is designed to help players build confidence, sharpen fundamental skills, and grow their overall understanding of the game in a fun, supportive, and challenging environment.
